Pools Between the Worlds

The words he spews forth to you

The speech laced with lies

What amont of them can be true

What trick does it, to make your heart fly

I am the only one who can see

That what utterances he forgoes

Is nothing but, a dreadful lying sea

She sits passenger to me

Always smiling, and I see

She listens to her music and props her feet

She smiles at me as she lays back her seat

She sings softly to the song

All I try is to sing along

As i drive, I look toward her and ponder

This love, I can’t concile it no longer

I look toward her and smile

As the car goes mile after mile

She is there with me

But can she see

She had my heart,

Way before the car did start

I have always been near by

Yet you turn away from me

I hold you close everyday

Why can’t you see, how much you mean to me
